The Team:
The Ucardia team is composed of innovative leaders in digital healthcare including scientists, technology developers, and business leaders. Our engineering team based in Portland, OR is quickly growing and is working together to reimagine the power and possibilities within the health and wellness space.
About The Role:
As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software development of our products. As an early stage company, we serve diverse functions from high-level strategy planning to getting our hands dirty and executing work. Our tech stack includes React, Typescript, Node.js, MySQL, Docker, GitHub, GCP, Swift, and Kotlin. We work in 2-week sprints with all code reviewed via PRs with a focus on knowledge sharing and project tasks managed through Jira.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Building and extending secure, scalable services and exposing clear, well-tested APIs that power our products.
- Developing new extending current features on backend and web products.
- Reviewing mobile front end functionality and code.
- Identifying and evaluating new technologies for integration and implementation.
- Writing technical specifications based on user stories and business requirements.
- Reporting to company leadership and working closely and collaboratively with all team members.
- Helping to lead the development of new features and product ideas.
What We’re Looking For:
- Communication: Fluent expert English-language spoken and written communication skills with technical and non-technical team members.
- Teamwork: A track record of leading and working with others with tenacity and optimism in a matrix organization. Enjoys and excels in a collaborative work environment.
- Strong Domain Expertise:
- 5 years of experience as a full stack developer.
- Developing microservices.
- Google Cloud Computing, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure.
- Expert with SQL.
- Experience architecting solutions optimized for efficiency, stability, extensibility, with the ability to evolve over time.
- Developing web applications.
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform.
- Problem Solving: Identify right-sized solutions to meet business needs, with the ability to identify new ways to complete tasks in flexible ways. Able to decompose significantly complex engineering problems defined by business and customer needs and stakeholders into straightforward solutions.
- Self Starter: One who is self motivated, and has a track record of exceeding expectations and delivering results on-time or sooner than expected.
- Ambiguity: Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment that comes with working in an Early Stage Startup.
- Qualifications:
- Expert in node JS
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years of experience in development
